Come take a class, and learn traditional stained glass!
New Classes coming this Winter! Join our mailing list to be notified of class schedules as they are relased.
All of our classes are limited to four participants - ensuring every student in-depth, personal feedback and instruction.
Foundations and Fundamentals: a six week course covering traditional glass cutting, lead construction and copper foil (Tiffany method) basics. The student will complete two projects during the course, for them to take home and enjoy! All classes are limited to four participants - ensuring every student gets all the feedback and instruction they need.
Advanced Lead Construction: a four week course, where students will be guided through the process of designing their own lead piece. Includes more advanced lead cutting techniques, panel installation basics, reinforcement and repair.
Advanced Copper Foil: a four week course that builds off the basic course, or provides more advanced practice for students who have some prior experience, but are ready to take their copper foil and soldering techniques to the next level. Course focuses on trouble shooting common soldering and construction problems, how to repair a piece, patina and basic painting details.
Beginning Stained Glass Painting: This four week course is an introduction to basic kiln-fired stained glass painting techniques. The course explores both traditional grisaille paint and enamels, and we will cover the technicalities of mixing and firing paint, as wells as several different application techniques.
Advanced Stained Glass Painting: Requires previous attendance in the beginner’s painting course, or similar prior experience! This course offers instruction in more advanced painting techniques and layered firings, and gives the student supervised time to further skills learned in the beginner course in the creation of their own pieces.
Open Studio: Want to go at your own pace and create from your own pattern? Come to our open studio hours, where you can use the studio tools and space, with as much or as little assistance as you wish! No formal instruction, but an instructor will be on hand to answer questions and guide as needed/desired. Ideal for experienced creators who lack their own studio space.
